My Internet Explorer 6 SP1 on Windows XP SP1 when launched stays minimized on the taskbar. This started happening after installing Counter Strike game. I tried clicking restore and maximize but its doesn't do anything. Task manager saying that it is still running. I logged in as a different user on the same machine and everything works ok. Is it a profile problem?? I know that you can you the Win XP system restore to roll back your system to previous working state. what I want to know if there is a setting in the registry that may have been corrupted/modified that controls maximize/minimize feature of IE/Apps? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Discovered that my problem was due to a virus/trojan infection called JS/NoClose.

*If anyone has info on which registry keys controls how apps are minimized/restored etc it would be greatly appreciated.* hopefully i'll get some more responses this time around. LOL
