Hi,

We have been experiencing the setting for when to check for newer versions of web pages changing without the users making the change. In particular it changes from "automatic" to "every visit to the page" This inturn causes an online application we use to stop functioning. Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this to change. Could malicious code on a web page change this?

More likely it is a Group Policy setting that prevents persistent user changes to Internet Options.

No, it's not a GP. I have checked and the setting is part of the user profile. In a controlled test the setting works as it should(logon/logoff)and it still works. However, after a day or two it will be changed. It's almost like they are going to a web site and it is being reset by an activeX control.

SpyBot 1.2, the "Innoculate" setting active?
