Hi

We're about to roll our new PCs to all of our staff. They'll all have the latest version of IE which we'll keep patched. My question is are there any security settings which should be changed from the default before I roll them out? We have a corporate firewall in place. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
John

The default security settings of custom in IE6 is generally acceptable on most sites. I'd say use that or medium.

You may want to review the cookie settings under Privacy. That's the major change when going from IE 5.x to IE 6.x. Some websites are not able to effectively use session cookies under the default settings. It might be best to set the slider to 'low' or 'off' altogether. Of course, any savvy user can manually add certain sites to the trusted list if you'd rather do it that way. ~cdogg
