IE Proxy settings keep getting reset

I have a W2k SBS server and the IE proxy settings keep getting reset on the client pcs to look for a proxy server. When I go to each individual pc and uncheck the proxy settings (and reset to auto detect settings), a couple days later the same settings will reappear.

The GPO has no settings at all in...

User Configuration\Windows Settings\IE Maintaince\Connection\Proxy Settings

or in...

Computer Configuration\Admin Templates\IE\Make proxy settings

or in...

any login/logoff/startup/shutdown scripts


Can anyone help me look for where this proxy setting may be on the server?

Use GPRESULT on the workstation to see which policies are hitting it.

I'd also specifically set the settings you want in a GPO and check under options to prevent overwritting.
