For over a month people have been desperately seeking a solution to IE just quitting, stopping, not starting, or just lousy slow.
If you installed the Yahoo Toolbar with its default settings, it has updated and destroyed your use of IE.
Remove it.
The Yahoo folks are trying to fix this, but the automatic software update feature just keeps spreading the problem at the moment.
Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, Yahoo Toolbar.
Get rid of this adware loaded unecessary addition. To those who are using it only for the Norton anti-spyware feature, please consider using instead:
Windows Defender, free from Microsoft.
