For the last two days I have seen an occaisional "security alert" popup that says my IE is prone to popup ads and can click OK to fix the problem or cancel. It just doesn't seem like it's MS looking out for me. Does anybody know if this alert is bogus? (Today I also was sent to a website for Quickshield that I havent't seen before.)

Thanks. I just ran Ad-Aware and got 27 hits. I'll let you know if it comes back. I also did a Google search on the word "Quickshield". One hit is for "Goggle Software" which sells Quickshield. I have mistyped Google a few times in the last few days and I bet that going to that "G-O-G-G-L-E" site ended up with me getting loaded up on spyware.
