IE 'page not available' woes

I have a customer who has been going to secure web pages for quite some time now, the kind that require a name and password for entry. Lately, although she can get to the login page, it has been giving her 'page not available' errors after entering a valid name and password and trying to proceed. Yet when she moves to the PC right next to her, all works fine.

I tried setting the Internet Options security level as low as possible thinking it was a security problem, but it didn't help. I'm not sure if this is an IE problem or an Windows problem. In the interim, I'm going to have her install Firefox just to see if a different browser has the same problem.

Can anyone help?

OK, it works with Firefox. So I guess it's safe to say that the original problem is within IE? I'll be perfectly happy to tell her to stay with Firefox, but I'd still like to know why IE has gone retarded on her PC. Any ideas?
Thanks again.
