IE not locating MS related sites

Hi there

Now this is really weird and my PC does weird stuff all the time.

Yesterday I started up MS Word and got an error message about TBRUN97.dot being corrupted and word was all screwy, so I traced it to Textbridge(a programme I never use anyway)and uninstalled Textbridge.

Next I started Word which worked except when I tried to push any buttons on the Menu bar.

Next I started IE to check my email and hello could not connect to any MS related sites but goes elsewhere fine.

At this stage I virus scanned my PC it was clean and checked MS sites on another PC and they connected fine.

Soooooo....now I am confused do I have 2 problems or one and any suggestions would be most welcome.

I think that Microsoft is having problems with their servers.
I have not been able to get to any of their sites either, including MSN.
Who knew?

So much for 99999! LOL

Microsoft was down today. I believe it was in the news.
