Is it just me, or does it seem that all of these browsers handle CSS co-ordinantes differently?

that is what i'm working on, looks just fine in IE but then get's messed up in the other broswers, am I missing something? or some way to fix it?

thanks
Caden

I am using IE 5.0 and your "test" text is being overlayed by the nav bar.

the navagation bar that is shown, or the sub-links that show when you scroll over the bar.

in IE 6.0 it works exactly the way I want...which is, initially you see both the navagation and the text and then you scroll over the nav bar and the text is hidden by the sublinks

Works for me in IE6 & Mozilla 1.5
What errors are you seeing in other browsers?

In netscape 7.1 and Mac IE 5.2 the links are positioned differently. Not a huge amount, but enough that it is easy to see it's wrong.

Ok, I just tried out your site on another computer with Mozilla 1.5. The text on your page is covered by the flash object, even when I don't have the cursor over any of the items. It makes it look like part text is missing The part of the flash object that's covering the links is white, the same as the background.

The way I'm reading your code, there's no way that you'll ever get anything to cover the text. You've got the z-index set to 2, and no other z-indexes are on the page so your text will always be above everything on the page. Remove the z-index from the style definition and it should work OK.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Oops - my apologies... I spotted another z-index that was scrolled off the screen. When using z-indexes, elements are positioned according to the value of the z-index. You may have to dynamically change these values to achieve the desired results.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Mozilla 1.5 says stick your website up ur bum !!
IE6 and Netscape 7.1 says no its ok
