Very often when I go to a website I have seen before I get an old page. Then I press 'Refresh' and get the up to date pages. This problem includes Hotmail, and CNN. this did not always happen. It started a few months ago. Can anyone tell me why it happens and how to fix it? Thanks.

Check your settings at: Tools, Internet Options, General tab, Temporary Internet Files Settings button, Check for newer versions of stored pages automatically.

Open Internet explorer and go to Tools, Internet Options.
On the 1st page, in the Temporary Internet file section, click Settings and make sure there is a dot in the circle next to Automatically (3rd one).
If the dot is in "Never" you will only load from old outdated cookies.
While you are in Settings, click on the View Files button and delete all the current cookies.

Delete all temp files--including offline content
