IE is acting funny when I open it 1

Everytime I open IE(Internet Explorer) it freezes for a minute before it opens the page, I found this very strange and decided to investigate.

I found out by using netstat, that everytime I opened IE, this would come up:
TCP oemcomputer:1662 66.226.0.29:http ESTABLISHED

as well as this

TCP oemcomputer:1797 haw-207-182-237-233.vel.net:http SYN_SENT

does anybody know what could be causing this, it has only been doing this for a couple weeks now, and I looked in event viewer and could not find anything weird in there, please someone help!!
