My IE browser autocomplete feature works for some time and then stops working and I have to type things into browser all over again. Does anybody know if I should increase the memory of autocomplete and how do I do it? I use Windows Washer to clear out temporary internet files. Could that be a problem? However, I use Windows Washer on my work PC too and yet my autocomplete feature keeps working on it for as long as I remember.
Thanks you all.

Perhaps you have the product set up to clear your Autocomplete at home, but on the work installation?

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Content, check your Autocomplete settings under the Personal Information Panel. It might be worthwhile to clear the existing entries to avoid a possible corruption. In addition, under the "General Tab" clear your Internet History, I assume Web Washer will take care of your Temporary Internet Files.

Thanks, your tips have been helpful. Do you know if there's any way to retrieve auto-complete history of entries so that I could transfer them from my work pc to my home pc? Thanks

Under XP, use the Start, All Programs, Accessories, Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Note: that is only for autocomplete entries that have a "Favorite" entry, and a "remember password" checked.

For security reasons it does not transfer the entire store of protected passwords.

There are several MS KB articles about this, but the safe assumption is that they will not all transfer, so plan on not being able to do this.
