IE hotkeys not working correct

Anyone know how to active the hotkey Ctrl + Enter when you are in the address bar. It is supposed to add the .com in there and it doesn't. Besides being really ignoring i would like to just know so i know more about my system. there was also another post i saw that was about activating hotkeys and other but it said to change it in the registry which was supposed to be in the HKEY_CURREN_USER - Software - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Then something but i never found it. I also searched for Hotkey in the registry and found only a few files which weren't it. If you could answer thanks.
