Hi

I help look about about 50 mac in 4 locations and my company wants to be able to set (and preferably lock down) the homepage setting on IE on all the machines.

All are running OS X 10.3.x

Any one have any ideas ?

Without being at a Mac now to confirm...

You could set the permissions for the MSIE preferences files (in the Library folder) so that the user does not control them.

Ideally, as an enterprise issue, you may look at something other than MSIE as Microsoft has discontinued development on it and security patches will probably not be coming. Try Safari or FireFox browsers.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go when I'm back in the office.

I'd love to change browsers but unfortunatley my company uses Microsoft SharePoint for it's intranet and this doesn't work on Safari or Firefox. to be honest it doesn't work 100% on the Mac IE but it's better then the others.

Nice of MS to drop development of a product that is still needed ;-)
