IE homepage gets set to http:///

I have a WLAN consisting of several Cisco 1200 series WAPs...Sometimes when I connect to the WLAN, my homepage in Internet Explorer gets set to

http:///

instead of

http://www.google.com.

I have to go into options and manually set it back.

I am running XP and the WAPs are only configured with WEP.

Does anybody know why this could be occuring?

This could be some kind of adware / spyware, try using Spybot Search & Destroy (

One of the settings under Immunise is to 'Lock IE Start Page Settings'.

This seemed to be related to the IBM Access Connections program on my laptop. Once I removed it and let Windows XP handle the wireless connections, everything worked perfectly.
