"This utility reads all information from the history file on your computer, and displays the list of all URLs that you have visited in the last few days. "

But this only provides IE history not Firefox. Any similar utility available?

Thanks, Dave Y

NO - NO >> You don't get it!! This does not save the results to a file like "iehv" does. Iehv - Internet Explorer History Viewer allows you to check off any or all urls and save the results to at text file for archival purposes.

I don't see this function at all in Firefox.

PLEASE EXPLAIN how Firefox does this!

THIS IS IT!

Just type in
"about:cache" into Firefox’s address field

Perhaps if you'd stated you wanted a utility to "save the history to disk" instead of stating that you wanted a utility that "reads all information from the history file on your computer, and displays the list of all URLs that you have visited in the last few days", a better answer could have been given.

Excuse me!!! Sorry, I can't think of everything all the time. Sheesh. Anyway, I think the above solves the problem. By the way did you try IEHV? It is excellent. Try it and see.

Dave

IEHV only displays websites, not all the peripheral urls & is still better than looking at all the Firefox history gif's, etc. For example looking for the Cranky Geeks episode I tried to revisit, I got dozens of these listings under:

Disk cache device

Is there a straightforward utility to save and / or re-click past Firefox visited web site URL's?

blanius - great! Still learning Firefox. Will reply. Dave

"Windows/Mac/Linux (Firefox): WebMynd, a free add-on for Firefox, makes it easy to browse through web pages you've visited or specifically "webmarked," whether they're static or dynamically generated. Although you can tell WebMynd not to monitor certain pages and turn its history noting on and off, the add-on generally works as a background service, taking snapshots of the pages you visit."

Any feedback? Dave
