Hi, i'm using Win ME, IE 5.5 (with all the patches) and AOL as my ISP. I've been on a bit of a security crusade since i discovered what doubleclick was doing to me... anyway after having covered much ground since then there is one problem i still can't beat. Nortons Online security check says that my browser (IE5.5) is still revealing the last site i've been to, to any new site i visit .... can anyone give me a tip on how to prevent this ? (short of buying Nortons Firewall) ....

Cheers
PS ... ZoneAlarm, Disabling all cookies, setting IE5.5 History to 0 days and Windows Washer have all failed to prevent this !

thanks for the tip reghakr ... now i've REALLY got my back up! That friggin' IE seems so bloody full of holes makes my skin crawl ... thanks Bill ... there go any delusions about security/privacy if you have a virus checker and a fire-wall .... seems to me you have to give IE access rights IF you wnat to surf the net ... and once you've done that there's no plugging that seive of a program !

Oh well I'll try proxies next .. if that don't work then i'll just cave in and assume every man and his dog is looking in .... and piling up my email inbox with junk!!!!!

Thanks again
