IE file type settings question

Before windows XP I could create a profile that would remember how to deal with certain file types like .sav for SPSS, .rm for RealPlayer, etc.

These settings were saved in ntuser.dat but it seems that this is no longer the case.

Can anyone tell me where these settings are stored? I suspect that they are in the Application Settings folder.

I mean physically per profile. It does not appear to work with cloned machines.

Or how can I use this info so that other profiles(users) can get these settings.
