I have a win2K pro machine with service pack 3 installed. This machine is running IE6 with service pack 1 installed. Everytime my user attempts to open Internet Explorer he gets the error, "Internet explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close" yada yada yada. When you click the link to view the error signature you get
"App: iexplore.exe Ver: 6.0.2800.1106 Module: mfc42.dll Module Ver: 6.0.8665.0 Offset: 0005bf55".
If this isn't enough, he gets this error with his regular network john.doe logon, but if he logs on as administrator on the local machine, IE works fine. IE has already been uninstalled and reinstalled. And the same error comes up.
Any brilliant insights into this problem????????????
