ie does not work but everything else does

IE does not work (it just show the initial intranet page), but everything else does, mail (in and out), other browers (like mozilla) and even ms messenger, yahoo mail, and kazaa (but not for browsing)works.

I have NT 4.0, SP6, proxy server.

My only solution is restart the server, but it's a problem to do that, and it usually fails every other day or so.

Any ideas are wellcome...

What do you mean by "it doesn't work"? What happens when you try to go to the likes of

http://www.yahoo.com?

Have you checked your proxy settings in IE? MCSE NT4/W2K
