Hi, everyone.

We have a few users getting blank pages in IE when they click on a PDF or WordPerfect file (*.wpd or *.frm) or go to some sites using IE. The only thing that is displayed is an 'image placeholder' in the upper left corner and 'Done' in the lower left corner. The same page displays correctly using Netscape v4.72 or on another PC.

IE v5.5 SP2 on Windows95 PCs over a NetWare 5.1 LAN.

Any ideas (other than upgrading IE)?

Thanks in advance.

Try going into TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - SECURITY
Select INTERNET (that is assuming that these documents are on the Internet vs. a local Intranet)
Select CUSTOM LEVEL.
Enable the third Active X control option Initialize and script ActiveX control not marked as safe and click OK until you return to the browser. See if that helps.

If not, with PDF files you can open Acrobat Reader and go into PREFERENCES and uncheck the option to use BROWSER INTEGRATION (or Display PDF in Browser...depending on which version of Acrobat you are using) and that will allow the PDF to open outside of the browser.

Not certain what options are available with WordPerfect. joegz
