I use Windows2000 Pro and have IE5.5 and Media Player6.4
When I run streaming video at 37kbps there is no problem but when I try running it at 300kbps, the Explorer window crashes. I have an ADSL connection through a Linksys router.
Tried upgrading IE to 6.0 and Media Player to 7.0
The message which I get is that the problem is in "strmdll.dll"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would first try isolating the problem. Are you able to stream at that speed when you are not using internet explorer? Also try Real Player and see if you can stream at that speed using that. The most obvious problem would be you are not getting enough bandwidth to stream at that speed and it is crashing the program though I am unsure if it would do that. Good luck!

Try renaming the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\strmdll.dll to strmdll.dl_ and try upgrading again.
