IE crashes under some web sites

I have been using Internet Explorer 5.0 that came installed with my operating system for several months and it has always been fine. Recently however, some sites that I used to be able to view without any difficulty (e.g. vodafone.co.uk and nokia.com) cause the browser to crash. In order to view these sites I have to use Netscape 6.

Does anyone know why this might happen and how to fix it? Alternatively does anyone know how to reinstall Internet Explorer? There does not seem to be any option apparent for this.
