I have a PC here that I am trying to fix, running windows98 (freshly installed) that locks up whenever Internet Explorer is used. Sometimes instantly, sometimes after viewing a couple of pages. Also Outlook Express sometimes causes this problem too. The lockup requires the computer to be restarted.
I can use the system for anything else and it is fine, I have had several applications open, been working with Adobe photoshop, word etc and no problems, so I assume it is not a graphics card or memory problem.
Originally IE4 was installed, and I upgraded to IE5 with no change.

Russ Michaels
russ@satachi.com
<a href= Internet Development
Rapid Web application development, specialising in Coldfusion, database integration and e-commerce solutions.

Open IE and check resources in Control Panel, Display, System.
Are they low (below 60%)? If so, you may need more memory.

If you do not have a memory problem trying lookig here (copy and paste into browser):
<A HREF=" TARGET="_new">
