When one of my users attepmts to open a tif file from our intranet all that is displayed is a small icon in the top left hand corner of the window containing a red square, green circle and a blue triangle.

I have looked at knowledge base number 319829 and 320289 but these failed to help the problem.

IE6 was recently installed onto this pc and I have defaulted and checked the advanced settings regarding displaying graphics.

Also tried deleting the cache etc, even went as far as to install Quicktime, this time when I clicked on the tif file all I got was the QT logo in the middle of the screen and nothing else.

Also tried to reinstall IE6 sp1 but I got the same results.

Does any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Jon

I like smah's solution, but if you really need the older .tif viewer this thread explains how to install it again for XP: thread779-641417

hey smah

Thanks worked first time.

Cheers

Good, I haven't had any troubles with that one with any version of IE.
