May be a stupid question but I would have some answers.

When designing, we do it for IE and not really for Netscape. If we need to have our design work in IE and Netscape do we need to create 2 different pages for each of our pages. If so, do we have to first check the browser and direct to the appropriate page?

We use a lot of input boxes and pull down. Design is done for IE but if we look at the page in Netscape the design (tables) seams to expand. What designers usually do in this case?

Any info will be appreciated.

Thank in Advance

You can create a separate page for netsCRAP if you want
But if your only problem is tables stretching, you should be able to fix that easily.

It would be easier to have a look at it.
One common problem is if the outside table is set smaller than the inside table For Example:
Outside Table width = 98%
Inside Table width = 100%

What I like to do is set the outside table to 775px and then all inner ones to percentage.

Just my two cents.

Hello,

Until now, all the websites I've designed are cross-browser
and cross-platform and I've never had to design separate pages (it takes more time though...).

There are many javascipt browser detection available
and you can output the right code to the right browser
on a single page with the help of javascript.

And PHP can help you even more for such a task.

Have a good day.

My site is well seen in IE but with NN it only shows certain pages, What could be wrong? The pages that are seen show all, but the one's I cannot see, I only see my logo and all blank underneath, Why is that?

I am sorry about my dumb question, but what is a validator and where do i get it?

Hi mate,

If you haven't used a validator before then check out the following link.. It explains the errors in your code and also offers suggestions on how to fix most errors.

There are others out there but I would stick with this one until you understand how to use it correctly.

Hope this helps Wullie
