IE address bar 1

This problem started on 4/15/2006. When I type in an address on the address bar, for example,

http://www.google.com,

IE doesn't navigate anywhere. It only works if I type in the full address with the "http" etc. This only affects one computer of the three in my home. I was thinking that I could just re-install IE but have not been successful at that either. I'm running XP home edition SP2.

First try the IEFix

If for some reasone that doesn't work, manually reregeister IE's dll's

Hi,
I have the same "problem". It's seems related with the Internet Explorer cumulative patch which was installed on 15th april. I've removed it (KB912812) and it works again.
The best would be find out how to make it works with the patch but I didn't find the solution .... if you found the solution let me know.

... removing the patch KB912812 and re-installing it has resolve my problem ...

I ran the fix, then re-installed the patch and it works fine.
