And for the record, it will not install automatically (unless intentially deployed by admin). It is a "high priority" update that will pop up a install, don't install, or remind me later prompt. There is also a blocker toolkit available for those that need it
What happens for site developers that need to be able to test sites in IE6 and IE7 if IE7 overwrites their IE6 installation? This is extremely worrying as we need to be certain that sites are fine on both platforms.
I have managed to find a standalone version of ie7 RC1 to test pages out and am already finding problems (although that could be because it is the standalone version). I can't believe Microsoft haven't thought about that!!
