I can't download anything on my version if IE 6.0. I tried downloading some virus program a while back and it would just give me some wierd image thing and I just gave up and though nothing more about it. But then today I wanted to get an updated version of Ad-aware, and it did the same thing!!! You can see a screenshot of what it brings me to when I try to download here
Thanks :)

This is a shot in the dark.

The image you supplied shows that you are using the FTP protocol to download the file. Is the command line being used for the file association URL:File Transfer Protocol equal to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %1

Have you checked your security settings? And lastly have you tried running a repair on IE?

I have this same problem and have yet been able to locate a cure. I can right-click on the download link and do a Save Target As.. That works sometimes if the linked object is tied directly to a file. I never noticed the ftp: preface to the URL though. It may be there but I just never noticed it. If there is a known cure to this please email the solution to: anormal@attbi.com
