IE 6 taking minutes to boot + hangs frequently

hi,

Ive looked around the forums, but cant find the exact prob I have.
I havent made any changes to my system recently.
I run W98 on an Duron 800 with 630MBram
Everytime I click the quick launch icon, or the IE icon in thru WExplorer...Ive tried every shortcut...but everytime I boot IE 6 up, it takes over 3 minutes until it appears, and then (occasionaly) it will take an extra few minutes to load a page I access (I have BroadBand connection 512K)
And if I click a link that brings a pop up, it will take 3mins+ again, and hangs occasionaly...I waited 15mins for a page to load last night!

Any help anyone can give would be great, and if anyone needs any extra info...

Have you tried reinstalling/repairing/updating Internet Explorer?

After you've done that, please follow the steps in these FAQ's faq608-3482, faq608-4650

Yea, forgot to mention - I have done a 'Repair'
But I havnt re-installed yet....

Hmm, sorted this one out....

I never thought to install AdAware on me comp....
It must have been something AdAware discovered, because 2 seconds into the scan...all the IE explorers I'd tried to boot up botted up at once!

AdAware found over 36 different, erm, violations...
Anmd its sorted them all
