I seem to be having a problem running Oracle...whenever I am in it (using IE 6 SP1) from time to time I get an iexplore.exe crash and I have to restart my PC....any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks

Depending on your OS, Event Viewer (NT, 2K and XP) may be hiding some clues...I know it's not what you want to hear (so many patches!) but an Oracle uninstall/reinstall may be in order.
Speaking of which, are the latest patches also applied to the OS?
Safe to say it's browser-related, as Oracle seems to be a collection of a lot of browsers.

Well I am running Win2K....all the lastest patches have been applied to the OS.

THANKS!!!!!

The only other suggestion/inkling may be that IE is starting a browser election on the network when it crashes.
My wife administers an Oracle/Novel network and there's a registry patch to solve it...probably irrelevant to your problem...as you sound as if you've your ducks in a row.

Where can I find the registry fix? I could really use it....thank you so much.

THANKS!!!!

I should remember the key...she was doing it manually and I made a regfile and put it on a floppy so all she had to do(when putting a machine on the network) was run the file and it merged with the registry.
She's today off on a "shop 'til you drop" trip to the nearby metro area...I'll post back when I can get it tomorrow.
(I'd ask her when she gets home, but she won't remember)
LOL
(and might shoot me if she saw this) She's a TROO BLONDE!

This might be a stupid question but do you think it could be hardware related????? Like maybe a network connection issue? Since it's iexplore.exe that randomly is crashing I can't believe that it would be a hardware issue but I am willing to try anything at this point.....do you think it could be IE 6 SP1?

THANKS

Well I would love to get that registry key...if so please email me offline at primalscream@ev1.net

Thanks A TON!!!!!!!
