We are using XP SP2, with IE 6. We want to set margins to specific printer via IE >File >Page Setup>. We clear the header and footer info, We set the left, top and bottom margins to zero and the right to .406 and apply it. If we close IE and check the settings the margins for top, bottom, and left have .166 in them. Right retains .406.
This is for a label printer. We will call it kiosk_2. The users default printer via Windows Print Manager is a different printer, lets call it ps_printme.
The only way these settings are retained in IE is if I change the default printer in Windows Print Manager to the label printer - kiosk_2, but then all the margin settings for all the other printers in IE are that unique setting for the label printer. Not a good thing because we have several web apps that depend on print settings. Is IE Limited in the print setting area. Any suggestions?
