IE 6 Not Closing

I've got Windows XP Home on a home computer and no matter what I do I can not close my internet explorer. I can't click on the X button or go file close. The only way to close it is by going via the task manager.

Have read the other forum items they are similar but not the same as my problem

Any help would be great.
