a client running xp pro is currently unable to close the Ie window. he must ctrl-alt-del and then end task it. everything else is working fine. just this one annoying problem. i don't want to have to wipe and reload. i've tried doing windows repair, no luck. i've tried windows update, no luck there either. i need recommendations on how to resolve this. please! thanks in advance.

Yeah I tried that today. no luck. I even uninstalled/reinstalled SP1 and that didn't work.

thankfully i found the answer in one of the other threads on this board. it was a spyware problem. did a scan w/ ad-aware, removed them and problem was solved.
