I've been told I should download and apply all Microsoft critical updates. One of them is IE 6., (serv. pack 2?). It can't be removed. I've heard that it takes control of one's computer and restricts what one can do. Is this true?
(I'm running Win 98 SE and normally use Netscape for web access. I only use IE 5.5 very reluctantly when a site I need to reach has blocked Netscape.) Thanks for any information.
