IE 6 closes after page loads

I work tech-support for an ISP. Tonight we had a customer call with the following problem;
Whenever she would open a website in Internet Explorer, it would close as soon as the page was completely loaded. Using the control panel, we changed her homepage to "about:blank" and got IE to stay open, but any attempts to go to a website would close IE.
We Googled and searched Microsoft's support database without finding an answer
Anyone know what is going on here?

Have the user clear their Temporary Internet file cache, and the stored History cache.
Exit IE.
Restart IE and test again.
