Hi all. I click search in yahoo or ebay and this problem with the ftapp.dll file comes up. How do i fix this problem?

Chris

Chris,

It's not a standard Microsft operating systemn file.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options, click the Advanced tab and uncheck "enable third-party browser extensions". Shutdown and restart.

If that doesn't work, locate the ftapp.dll file on your hard drive, right-click on it, choose properties, click the version tab and post back with any info. You need to find out what it's related to.

Have you tried a repair of IE6? go to Start>Run, and type:
rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance

I am running ME and IE6, I keep getting an error message that has FTAPP DLL.in it. Generally it pops up when I'm attempting a search within a web site.
