Does anyone know if there are any problems using Internet Explorer 6.0 to logon to Citrix from out of the office. We log into our Citrix server from a website. I know Internet Explorer 5.5 gave us a problem. Thanks.

What types of problems did you have with IE5.5 that you are trying to avoid in IE6?

I assume your logging into NFuse to connect to Citrix. Yes,NO?

Anyway, I'v haven't had any issues using IE6 to connect to a Citrix server via NFuse. Dave Namou, MCSE CCEA

I'm also using IE6 to access several NFuse portals. The only issue I've seen is where NFuse 1.5 and up tends to leave cookies behind that get either corrupted or misplaced (not sure which).

The effect is that you click on an app in the NFuse window and it goes through the motions but doesn't launch.

The cure is to delete cookies and temp internet files.

A bit rough and ready, but until I've worked out exactly what's happening, that's what I do.

As from using IE 5.5 sp2 you will no longer be able to startup apps in NFuse. The officeial solution from citrix is to use client 6.20.985 or higher. If you use the small active-x plugin this is not an attractive solution.

The workaround: delete the file:
Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS\\npican.dll
Remove the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\\Extension\\.ica
Both on the client.
After this you will be able to startup citrix sessions from NFuse again.
