We are attempting to rollout IE 6.0 at my company. During testing we noticed that IE 6.0 does not always display the hourglass when loading a page. We notifed MS about this "issue" and they stated this was a feature with IE 6.0 and made it more efficient. Unfortunately, we have many end-users that use homegrown applications and they are trained to use the hourglass as an indicator. As a result the application and business areas will not approve the rollout of IE 6.0 without this feature. MS has denied our DCR request.

Does anyone know of a workaround? We were thinking that an API might be available but MS doesn't have one. Does anyone know of an API that would initiate the hourglass whenever a process was kicked off within IE?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Honestly, would it not be so much easier just to accept these minor niggles?
If you buy a newer model of your car, and the blinkers blik at a different rate, are you going to have it modified by the manufacturer? Don't think so.
Just tell you users about the change, I'm sure they'll survice the shock!
Just in case, get an EHBO kit ready. If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too
