IE 6.0 Does not save my favourites

I have an server into which one of my clients logs into remotely using Citrix. The server is a Windows NT server. Suddenly he lost his favourites one day.I copied all the links and put them into the favourites folder that IE accesses yet the links do not show up when you go to favourites under IE. Also when you click "Add to favourites" a pop up comes up with "Acess is denied". The user is not logged in twice and I have also re created his profile again on the server. Any ideas?
