When I access my companies web site and click on a box to download/ interact with some info, it gives me an IE error and kicks me out. Once in a while, the popup will come up and let me process but 99 times out of 100, it kicks me out with the IE fatal error.

My corporate support guy says "call Microsoft" - Thanks alot. This used to work and suddenly stopped a few weeks ago which makes me think I changed something, but what?

I have Mcafee Virus Scan Online up to date, have run Adware 6.0, Noadware, and installed every patch I can find but no dice.

I have Windows XP with all the current updates. I also have IE6 with all the current updates.

I am in desperate need of help because it is costing me my ability to work from home and frustrating the hell out of me.

I could give you the error info but it seems pretty generic fatal IE error. I also can do hijack if needed but thought I would first ask if anyone has any ideas.

All other functions on the site work for me, including popups, etc. Of 200 users, no one else has this problem, (with XP and IE6) so they say it is not the site.

I have no problems on any other site.

HELP?!!

Can you diable Adaware and noadware to see if this is causing the issue?

If you cannot do your job, should not not make an official complaint? It is up to HIM to fix it or make the call, not an end-user.

About your problem, you could try a repair or re-install of IE6 as we have no way of checking exactly what it could be from here.

Are the other 199 users intranet users, or internet users such as yourself?

As an experiment (only an experiment) Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, look for "Internet Explorer Q824145" and uninstall it. Reboot and re-test.

Thanks, I ill try both suggestions. Also, the other users are identicle to me as we all work from home. Not all have XP and IE 6 but plenty do.
