IE 6.0---- A Pop-Up Window was Blocked

A Pop-Up Window was Blocked" Error message is displayed when the browser tries to open a POP-UP window. Though no such setting can seen anywhere within the browser. I use windows xp with IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1 020828-1920

you may have a browser helper object installed on your computer/browser;
I do not know where you would see an indication of this within your browser settings;
I use a free downloadable tool call "BHODemon" which looks for Browser Helper Objects, both good ones and bad ones(demons, that is);

otherwise just try to recall if you ever downloaded some kind of pop-up blocker;

thats odd.. I thought the built-in IE popup blocker wasnt coming in until xp sp2, you arent an MS beta tester are you?

try running adaware/spybot s&d?
