This may be a simple problem that I'm overlooking the simple fix for, but it's driving me nuts. We have one PC running W2K and IE5 that only gives you a download option when clicking on a media file rather that utilizing Media Player or whatever.

The class entries in the registry had each of these types as a Winamp file, so they were changed back to the defaults. This worked for midi files until the machine was rebooted. With MP3's the change had no effect at all.

Does this strike any chords with anyone??

Thanks in advance....

I suspect that someone checked the 'don't ask again' option when downloading or saving a previous file. See if this thread helps thread608-504932
