This has been more of an issue with IE6 pre-sp1. But you may want to try the same fix to see if it helps.
Run the command
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
If that does not resolve the issue you may try scanning your system for scumware or spyware that could be causing an issue with Spybot or Adaware programs. joegz
