IE 5.5 launching empty windows

Hi,
I'm running Win2k and IE 5.5. When you click on a hyperlink that launches a new browser process, that process is empty. It's almost as if the hyperlink isn't parsing the URL into the new window. On websites that launch their own pop up windows, it's the same effect. The pop up window launches, but displays no data. Normally, this is a good thing, but several of the sites I go to launch their programs in seperate windows.

not probably the response you were waiting for but i have exactly the same problem with same os and ie 5.5 cant work it out its driving me nuts !!

I was having the same problem with IE 5.5 and Win2k. I recently upgraded to IE 6.0 and I am still having this problem. It's driving me:

Crazy,
Nuts, and
Bonkers!
