IE 5.5 Advice?

I am runnig Win2k professional and recently I've upgraded to IE to 5.5 and it is very slow to open. Before I had no problems but now it seems to slow to respond and the menu bar periodically does not respond. Has anyone else had this experience? What can I do to correct this?

Yep I Used To Have The Same Problem , It Is A Conflict With Win2K. A Little Known Problem Coz Microsoft Doesn't Make It Known. I Had To Dig For it , & The Fix Isn't Pleasant. I Can Show You How But My Best Reccomendation Is To Go With Version 6 . I Tested It B4 Release & It Is Great! I Can Hook You Up With It If You Like
