IE 5.01 Runtime Error and it will not let me download?

I get a Runtime error all the time when on the internet. I use IE 5.01 SP1. It always pops up : runtime error. Do you wish to debug. It is always on a different line. With some pages, it will not allow me to continue on them if I choose no. I have tried to download IE 6 but I get a message from our firewall (that was just installed and all this started happening) that "WatchGuard firewall: Response denied from

Unsafe content type "application/octet-stream" I am on a network of about 30 people but my pc is the only computer that will not allow me to download anything. I have checked my security settings and don't know what else to do. Please, any help would be great. Thanks,

Try going into yhe internet options in the control Panal and clear out the TEMP internet files & Cookies you might have a corrupt file that is causing your problem Hope This Helps Solve Your Problem

Thanks for the info. I tried this and it did not solve the problem. We keep a copy of IE 5.0 on our network. WOuld it help if I uninstalled IE 5.01 and reinstalled this from the network. If so, how do I uninstall the current version of IE? I can't find it. Any other suggestions are very welcome. Thanks - Ash

Let me save you some time and trouble I downloaded CrazyBrowser a year ago because I was having problems a IE5&6 so iput on my pc [Win98&XP home &pro]It uses some of the files from IE has a popup killer that works and will improt all links and favorites from IE into it And i have not had one error since I satated using it and it is a free small doen load 689kb ,It puts IE to shame.
