IDS with TSM

Hi everyone,

I have very strange situation here.
I try to setup TSM for informix backup. I have DSMI parameters setup under both root and informix user environment.
I have dsm.sys and dsm.opt file ready. And TSM server is running, i run command "damcad -optfile=/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin/ifx.opt". So far so good. I try "onbar -b -L 0" which run the informix backup. Then I have error messages in dsierror.log complaining about "05/29/2008 10:17:37 ANS1035S Options file '/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin/ifx.opt' could not be found.

".
Anybody has idea why? It really confused me.

Sorry, forget to provide system information.
OS: Linux As4
Informix: 11.2UC1
TSM: 5.5

Hi - just to clarify, you have an opt file called ifx.opt in the /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin/ directory?

And can userid that database runs under read the ifx.opt and dsm.sys files.

Thanks for reply. As mentioned by tsm_dude, the problem is permission setting on opt file.
