Hello,

I have installed informix IDS on AIX.

I want to use 2 databases, say DB1 and DB2.
I want two informix server on the same machine, say SERV1 and SERV2.

I want thant each server "sees" only one database.
SERV1 accesses DB1 and cannot access DB2
SERV2 accesses DB2 and cannot access DB1

Is this possible?

How should I configure my different files?

Thanks.

I assume you have already set up the network connection to both the DBs (onsoctcp etc) and assign a port for each DB.

e.g.
DB1 9003/tcp
DB2 9004/tcp

On SERV1 just set the first DB in /etc/services
also you could just list DB1 in sqlhost file on SERV1
on SERV2 just set the second DB in /etc/services
also you could just list DB2 in sqlhost file on SERV2
