Just a trivial question about IDR.<br>I seems that the purpose of IDR is to protect ONLY the Backupexec server (and NOT the clients) from a disaster. Could anyone confirm ?

I've recently installed this on my network.

The IDR option, will protect any machines that you want on the network.

I am currently using the IDR option for both the backup server, and a remote database server.

The necessary disaster recovery information for the remote server is stored in an IDR directory that you specify on your backup server.

If I recall correctly, I think that you must have the Accelerator Agent installed on the remote machines before you can use IDR.

Hope this helps.
